The latest hardware sales charts from the week between December 9th to 15th have arrived courtesy of Media Create. The Nintendo 3DS XL is still on top, with a very large gain in sales compared to the week prior. The handheld managed to sell 130,710 units this week in comparison to 92,375 units from the week before.
However, even more interesting are the Wii U’s sales. Last week’s sales benefited from the release of Dragon Quest X: The Sleeping Hero and the Guiding Sworn Friend Online, with the Wii U selling 48,762 units. However, the console averaged 74,903 units this week and secured the second position in the hardware charts.
Meanwhile, 3DS sales are fairly good at 50,846 units, while the PS Vita still continues to lag but respectfully so at 30,440 units (up from the previous week’s 25,594 units). PS Vita TV saw a slight increase in sales as compared to the previous week but it’s still stuck in the four figures range with 5,506 units sold this week.
