Atlus’s Shin Megami Tensei IV for the Nintendo 3DS debuted at number 1 in Japan by selling 188,562 units in the three days since it debuted, according to Media Create Sales for the week of May 20th to May 26th. The game of course helped Nintendo’s handheld stay in the number 1 spot this week, as the PlayStation Vita continues to sail further down.

This, despite the debut of Marvelous AQL’s Valhalla Knights 3 for the Vita at fifth place, which sold 40.357 units in the three days since its release. The PS3 saw a good run with Kamen Rider: Battride War in second place selling 128,659 in three days and Resident Evil: Revelations in third place selling 102,673 units in three days.

Meanwhile, Tomodachi Collection: New Life hangs on at fourth place with 59,876 units sold, with a lifetime sales total of 984,984 units since its release on April 18th. It is also the only title in the top 5 to not be a new release.
