Platinum Games’ Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is already available for PC via Steam, but as of now, Steam is facing an issue that restricts the game from being played offline. No, it’s not a case of DRM that Platinum snuck in at the last moment. But if you try playing it in offline mode on Steam, the game won’t work.

Creative producer J.P. Kellams says that the developer is aware of the problem and would “ask first thing” about it. A NeoGAF member has proposed a workaround which requires one to use a cracked version of Steam, so use that at your own risk. Regardless, not exactly the smoothest launch for the PC version of Raiden’s adventure.

Have you picked up Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for PC and are you unable to play the game offline? Let us know your thoughts and stay tuned for an update from Platinum on the same.
