Konami seems to be ready to step back into the limelight as a AAA publisher, as evidenced by the resurgence of Silent Hill with multiple major upcoming games, but of course, leaks have claimed for a while that some of the publisher’s other big franchises are in line for similar revivals as well. For instance, reports have claimed that a Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake is in development at Singapore-based studio Virtuos, and now, another new development seems to have flared up those rumours again.
Virtuos recently uploaded a recruitment video, and while there’s nothing particularly peculiar about it for the most part, at one particular point, eagle-eyed viewers have spotted an artbook titled “The Art of Metal Gear Solid“. Check out the bottom-right part of the shot in the timestamped portion of the video below. In light of the aforementioned reports, it does raise eyebrows.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first indication that we’ve had that a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is indeed in the works. Late last year, former Virtuos engineer Zhiyang Li had mentioned on his LinkedIn profile that while at the studio, he had been involved in the development of an “unannounced AAA action-adventure remake”.
Meanwhile, recent reports have also claimed that Konami is working on remasters of Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3. Read more on that through here.
