We covered Metal Gear Solid 5 yesterday and also did a comprehensive analysis of the trailer and now we have a bunch of new screenshots that have been leaked from GDC.

They look like trailer grab but the graphical fidelity on offer is quite good here. The game was officially confirmed yesterday and is called Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, and Ground Zeroes is supposed to be a prologue to the game.

These screenshots show a lot of exciting moments from the gameplay trailer and the game has been confirmed for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The next gen versions haven’t been mentioned yet but it could be revealed at E3.

Snake is said to be in a coma and wakes up after 9 years to find himself in a hospital and escapes from it. The gameplay is a bit linear there but it is actually an open world game and the early section is not an indication of what to expect from the full game.

Check out the screenshots below.
