Konami has purportedly revealed Metal Gear Solid 5 behind closed doors at Comic-Con, and all we have right now is the logo and few images which are full of twists.
A while ago, Hideo Kojima had tweeted the image below, indicating a massive announcement at the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear franchise.

The logo says Metal Gear Solid 5 – Open Ground Reconnaissance Endeavour, which can mean only one thing: Project OGRE. Is this the Project OGRE that Kojima was teasing us all along? It certainly seems that way.
As you can see from the screen above, the game is probably set after Metal Gear Solid Pleace Walker. “The moment we were cast out of heaven, we became monsters“. The word ‘heaven‘ here obviously refers to Outer Heaven, a military outfit that was formed by Big Boss himself in Peace Walker.
“Would she have wanted this? That doesn’t matter now.” This is an obvious reference to The Boss. Big Boss has now completely deviated from the Boss’s vision and apparently he does not care about it anymore.
The ‘Diamond Dogs’ logo which you see above was also teased early this year. The same icon has been leaked below.
MGS fans knowwhat ZERO is all about, but RENAMO is a real-world Mozambican guerilla organization and Outer Heaven was a fortified microstate, founded by a “legendary mercenary” 200km north of the fictional Galzburg, South Africa. Enfants is probably referring to the Les Enfants Terribles project.
Now when you add the first letter of each word, it forms OGRE.
The MGS 25th anniversary event is due this August and we should have more information for you then. Till then, stay tuned to GamingBolt.com for all the latest news and updates.
