Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain

Tokyo Game Show is coming up and that crazed genius Hideo Kojima is going to be there. So the video game community has drawn a collective breath and must now wait for him to show off his most recent video game insanity.

On September 1st, during a Sony Computer Entertainment press conference, Kojima took to the stage to talk about his various PlayStation 4 projects. He spoke a bit about PT, the Silent Hills Playable Teaser and Guillermo del Toro gave a brief speech via video message.

Then Kojima made mention of a small update on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain which would be shown at Tokyo Game Show 2014. Sadly the game will not be there in a playable form but it will be a stage presentation hosted by Konami. Strangely enough, the demo won’t take place in Afghanistan again according to NeoGAF user ToraShiro, a Konami employee. So perhaps this means we can get to see something new? I certainly hope so.

Tokyo Game Show is being held September 18th through to the 21st this year, so keep your peepers peeled for all the latest updates.
