The Digital Day One Edition of Kojima and Konami’s eagerly anticipated magnum opus, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, is now available for pre-order on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The game itself will not be playable until midnight on September 1 ET, though of course you can get it now.

The Digital Day One Edition of the game will actually come with a fair bit of goodies with it, so you can rest assured you will be getting a lot of bang for your buck. Here is what all you will get with this, should you buy it:

  • Cardboard Box (Wetland)
  • Fatigues (Blue Urban)
  • Personal Ballistic Shield (Silver)
  • Adam-ska Special
  • METAL GEAR ONLINE: XP BOOST

Of course, Metal Gear Online doesn’t launch for a while after the launch of The Phantom Pain, and all the goodies are throwaway at best- still, it’s good to see them all being made available essentially as value added free perks (since this edition costs the regular $60 that the game would otherwise cost).

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launches on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC on September 1.
