Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Receives Cutscene Video And Africa Gameplay

Africa is a big place.

After extensively showing gameplay demos set in Afghanistan, Hideo Kojima has finally shown off a 20 minute long gameplay set in the jungles of Africa. The video above shows off several new features which you can expect from the game.

The focus of the gameplay video, besides the dynamic weather and the new setting, is the buddy system. Quiet who is a sniper helps Snake in this mission. Snake can also give several commands to her for attacking and defending. We won’t go into much detail as we have covered that in an extensive post here.

The second video is a cutscene of the teaser trailer that showed a few days. The video is in Japanese but don’t worry we have it translated in the same link above. It truly shows how Snake is slowly becoming the anti-hero that Solid Snake will take down a few years later.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is due in 2015 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
