Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater - Sneaking Suit

Stealth is the most essential element of gameplay in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, even more than gunplay. The NPCs don’t make it easy to remain undetected though, so you will be relying on several camouflage equipment unlocks for their effects.

This Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater guide is specifically about the Stealth Camouflage equipment and how to unlock it.

Stealth Camouflage Equipment Effect

Snake turns completely invisible to NPCs when using the Stealth Camouflage, though the effect is still visible to you as a shimmering transparency. Stealth is only applied only optically however, so you will remain audible if you’re not careful about your movement.

Stealth Camouflage Unlock Method 1

The easier of the two methods to unlock Stealth Camouflage involves finding each and every single one of the 64 Kerotan Frogs spread across the game world and then simply shooting them. This is a task in and of itself, but is still easier by far than method number two. This method itself is best accomplished in Very Easy mode with the EZ Gun and its unlimited ammo.

A bonus to this method is the unlocking of the silver trophy/achievement “It Ain’t Easy Being Green”.

The guide below shows all the locations of the Kerotan Frogs:

Stealth Camouflage Unlock Method 2

This method involves completion of the game in Extreme difficulty mode and acquiring the title of FOXHOUND. This is the second hardest difficulty of the six modes in the game, and ramps up the ability of the NPCs to detect you, enhances their attacks, while cutting your health down to 66% of the normal mode. You will also lack access to any of the sensors.

Since difficulty cannot be changed mid-playthrough you will have to lock this in right from the start of your run. A bonus to using this method is the earning of the “FOXHOUND” trophy/achievement for acquiring the FOXHOUND title.

That is everything you need to know about getting Stealth Camouflage in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
