With Tokyo Game Show starting tomorrow, Atlus has released a new trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio, Studio Zero’s upcoming fantasy RPG. It showcases an important plot point, namely the King of Euchronia’s death and how Louis, an army officer, is involved. Check it out below, though beware of spoilers.
The King’s death triggers the Election Magic, where Candidates are selected and partake in a tournament to crown the next ruler. The protagonist takes part, mostly to help lift the curse from the King’s son, and slowly works their way up the rankings, which involves traveling to different locations, completing quests, and garnering support.
Metaphor: ReFantazio launches on October 11th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and PC. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait long to their hands on it, as the prologue demo is going live today (with some regions already having access). Players can also transfer save data to the game, thus picking up where they left off. For more details on the title, including its length, head here.
