Studio Zero’s Metaphor: ReFantazio recently outlined the election candidates the player has to deal with during the Tournament of the Throne. However, alongside party members accompanying him, some followers lend support. As outlined in the latest Atlus Showcase video, they won’t fight directly but can provide access to Archetypes.

Some of these include Brigitta, who runs an ignitor shop and grants the Merchant Archetype if you complete her quest. The latter grants more battle rewards and access to Brigitta’s shop. Then there’s Maria, found in the Royal Capital’s Hushed Honeybee Inn, who provides the Healer Archetype if you bring back enough souvenirs from your travels. Bardon is a Captain encountered in Martira and provides the Commander Archetype after you help him with some problems.

Alonzo is also found in the same location and provides a quest which awakens the Faker Archetype. You also have the bounty hunter and candidate, Catherina, who goes from a rival to bonding with the protagonist and unlocking the Brawler Archetype. As bonds become stronger, Archetypes level up and gain new abilities.

Director Katsura Hashino confirmed that the next Atlus Showcase will outline the “journey aspect” and the daily activities players must undertake. Metaphor: ReFantazio launches on October 11th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
