Metro Exodus, the latest game in the shooter series, released earlier this year to mostly solid reviews and sales (despite a tad of controversy), offered somewhat of a change up compared to previous titles, being a more open world-like experience than the others, which were more tightly focused linear games. Developers 4A Games had confirmed earlier that it would be receiving two expansion packs at some point, and now we have details on both.
As detailed on the game’s website, both of the expansions will be story-focused. The first of the two will be titled The Two Colonels. It will include a new weapon, a flamethrower, and follow the main character as he tries to return home but finds himself hindered by mutants and the environment around him. The second, Sam’s Story, will follow a separate character in what is being referred to as a “sandbox survival level”, in which you will follow a US Marine who became trapped in Moscow after the drops dropped.
Metro Exodus is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The first expansion will release summer of this year, with the second following in early 2020.
