Metroid Fusion Coming to Nintendo Switch Online on March 9th

The critically acclaimed Game Boy Advance title sees Samus Aran battling the X parasite and attempting to survive against the SA-X.

Nintendo has announced that Metroid Fusion, the acclaimed 2002 Game Boy Advance title, will release for Nintendo Switch on March 9th. It will be playable via Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which costs $49.99 per year. Check out the trailer below to see how it looks.

After assisting a mission on SR388, Samus Aran is attacked by the X parasite. After recovering, she discovers that a research station has suffered an outbreak of X parasites, which can mimic different lifeforms. Samus ventures to the station and encounters the SA-X, an X parasite mimicking her at full power.

Traversing the station and regaining abilities like the Wave Beam, Screw Attack and more, Samus must take out all the X while simultaneously evading the SA-X. Metroid Fusion has received extensive acclaim for its visuals, gameplay and usage of survival horror mechanics. Stay tuned for more details when it goes live next week.
