Following the successful launch of Donkey Kong Bananza, Nintendo is doubtless looking to keep the momentum rolling for the Nintendo Switch 2. While it has Pokemon Legends: Z-A launching in October, it could also announce a release date for Retro Studios’ Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, judging by a recent listing.
The Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) in South Korea recently rated the sci-fi first-person shooter, recommending it for “12 years old and up.” Such ratings usually emerge shortly before a release date announcement, and with a new Nintendo Direct rumored for this month, it could be Samus Aran’s time to shine. Even if Metroid Prime 4: Beyond isn’t dated, there’s still Gamescom (which Nintendo is attending) in August and Tokyo Game Show in September.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is in development for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The listing indicates a trip to the planet Buros, which Samus transfers to after an “unexpected situation” with rival bounty hunter Silux. She also gains new psychic abilities, which you can learn more about here.
