Tomorrow will see the much anticipated release of Microsoft Flight Simulator for PC. The series has been dominate for almost a decade, with the last original release coming in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2012. The 2020 version will mark a big return, and today Microsoft has decided to celebrate the history of the storied series with a new trailer that’s all about taking you through the past.

The trailer in question, which you can see below, is simply titled “A History.” It takes you to the beginning with 1982’s Flight Simulator (sometimes referred to as Flight Simulator 1.0) up until tomorrow’s release. It’s quite something to see as you progress through the various incarnations of the series, showing both a fun history of the franchise as well as gaming’s graphic and technical evolution in general.

Microsoft Flight Simulator will release August 18th for PC, and make sure you clear some room because it’s going to have a pretty massive file size. Console and VR support have also been confirmed, but as of now there’s no word on when to expect either.
