Microsoft Flight Simulator’s Newest Video Takes A Deep Dive Into Cockpits

Michael Scott would have a field day with that headline.

Microsoft Flight Simulator looks breathtaking, and I don’t just mean graphically (on which front it looks like it will be the best looking game ever made). I also mean in terms of just how much attention to detail has been paid, and how above and beyond the developers obviously seem to be going when it comes to authenticity.

We have already seen past videos that have served to demonstrate that point, but the newest one we got today is further reminder of that fact. It’s a video that takes a deep dive into cockpits, which is, of course, where you will be actually flying the planes you pilot in the game from. It’s incredible how much detail is in these cockpits, down to the individual switches and gauges. It’s heartening to see Microsoft having taken this part of the job as seriously as they have – even though the beautiful vistas they have lovingly recreated in the game make for better marketing, the cockpit is an extremely important component of a flight simulator too.

You can check out the video for yourself below.
