Remember how we raised the quandary that the Xbox 360 only seems to have a select few IPs it can really back on, such as Halo, Gears of War and Forza Motorsport?

That seems like it’ll be changing soon, as a Linkedin profile of Senior Product Manager\Product Planner Microsoft Core Experiences Jonathon Browne revealed that Microsoft is working on four new, unannounced IPs.

“I am currently a strategic Senior Product Manager/Product Planner within the Microsoft 1st Party Publishing group. I have been the primary product manager on four unannounced new IP and have been a key contributor to bringing these IP from the very early concept phase through green light to production.”

Among his job responsibilities include to “analyze and provided clear recommendations on new monetization options and distribution channels (i.e. Steam)” and provide “detailed analysis on virtual merchandising techniques grounded in the psychological factors that drive success”.

Hopefully it means we’ll be able to experience some new franchises when the next Xbox rolls around.
