With 2016 at an end, and 2017 now officially underway, Microsoft decided to share a blog post, outlining their vision for this year for their fans. And according to Microsoft, Xbox fans have a lot to look forward to this year- specifically, Microsoft mentioned ‘terrific titles’, ‘exciting enhancements’ to Xbox Live, and the most powerful console ever made with the Xbox One Scorpio.

“We expect 2017 to be a special year for Xbox gamers,” Microsoft said. “We will not only launch the most powerful console ever in Project Scorpio, but we also plan to bring a number of exciting enhancements to Xbox Live. And we’ll deliver a terrific portfolio of new games with Xbox Live support on Xbox One, Windows 10 or both this spring.”

It does look to be a crucial year for Microsoft- they have several important game releases coming up, with Halo Wars 2, Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, and Scalebound; they have the launch of Xbox One Scorpio coming up. And they are riding a wave of goodwill, ever since the launch of the Xbox One S. 2017 could be make or break for Microsoft’s Xbox ambitions- it is extremely important that they do not mess it up. Let’s hope that they do not.
