Microsoft Pulls Potentially Plagiarized PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Ad

Someone on Microsoft's art department might have been naughty.

While the Xbox One Userbase continues to go crazy hunting for their chance at their chicken dinner, Microsoft continues to push PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as one of the biggest games on their platform right now. However the tech giant has had to pull an advertisement from their official channels after being made aware that one of their advertisements was awfully similar to a fan mockup first shared on Reddit in November.

Reddit user Macsterr first shared the image he created on Reddit in November, which you can find here, showing a concept suspiciously similar to the Microsoft created version seen above, which was posted in December. Microsoft has deleted the offending tweet and spokesman Major Nelson has stated that the matter is under investigation, and they will reach out to Macsterr once he gets the details.

The Xbox version of the popular Battle Royale game has its issues with visual fidelity and framerate, but the fresh concept has still been grabbing players attentions to the tune of 1 million players on the platform within the first 48 hours from launch.
