Microsoft have released a new video which provide insight into the inner workings and development of their upcoming Xbox One. The video shows Ivan Tashec, a Microsoft researcher, and his efforts to work on the audio element of the Xbox One.
Tashev was the primary software architect for Microsoft Research, and as a result, played a central role in the development of the audio aspects of the Xbox One. According to this video, he worked with the Xbox team on improving acoustic echo-cancellation, which is essentially the process of removing echoes from voice recordings in an effort to get a more crisp and realistic sound.
The video takes us inside the process of working on the acoustic-echo cancellation audio system, and the challenges that the team faced as part of the process.
The Xbox One is set to release this upcoming November.
