Heading into the most important part of the year when it comes to selling as many products as humanly possible, Microsoft is apparently supremely confident. Sitting down for an interview with VentureBeat, the Aaron Greenberg already said he feels as though people who are buying a console this Holiday season are going to be buying an Xbox One.

One of the big reasons it appears the Xbox One is going to be having a ton of success this Holiday season is because the company has managed to avoid problems that usually plague video game companies this time of year. In particular, the firm hasn’t had to deal with postponing much anticipated games the way it’s competition has had to do recently. Sony was looking to games like Uncharted 4 as a system seller this Holiday but now that title won’t be available until next Spring. Greenberg addressed why Microsoft hasn’t had that problem this fall.

“Fortunately we’ve planned and invested and spent a lot of time to make sure we could deliver this holiday. Halo 5 anchoring our greatest games lineup in Xbox history. But whether you’re a racing fan or an action-adventure fan — we had a great plan and we’re executing it very well. I’m proud of what the team’s accomplished. With that said, we’ll be there too at some point in time. We know how it is. We know it’s hard. We’re just grateful we have teams shipping quality games on schedule this holiday, which is great for our owners and our fans.”

One has to wonder if this Holiday season could be the one where the Xbox One really makes a dent in the console wars.
