Microsoft has taken a number of key steps in trying to improve the Xbox user experience with the Xbox Series X/S, and one of those that’s become quite a favourite in the couple of years that the two consoles have been out is Quick Resume. Though not exactly earth-shattering, its utility is hard not to appreciate, and the fact that Microsoft has consistently looked to improve it one way or the other has also been pleasing.

And it looks like that’s going to continue. One specific feature that Microsoft might end up adding in as allowing players to disable Quick Resume entirely, if they wish to do that. A Twitter user recently pointed out how Quick Resume doesn’t work as intended with online-only games, with players often ending up having to manually quit and restart the title. In response, Xbox boss Phil Spencer wrote: “Good feature ask, makes sense. We will put it on the list of things to look at.”

Of course, that’s not exactly a confirmation that the feature will be implemented at some point or the other, but it is, at the very least, encouraging to see Microsoft looking at feedback from its audience and genuinely taking it into account.

Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated on if this feature does end up getting added after all.
