Following an early leak from retailer target, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, the sequel to the much-acclaimed Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Check out the first cinematic trailer below.

Taking place between The Hobbit and The Lords of the Rings, Shadow of War will see Talion and Celebrimbor forge a new Ring of Power to battle Sauron and his forces. The Nemesis System makes a return but this time it will apply to the entire world, with the environment and NPCs being affected by your decisions.

Nemesis Fortresses are a unique feature that let you conquer strongholds and take control of your own Orc army. Followers have also been introduced, each with their own stories and you can look forward to new enemy types along with the same iconic locations.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War releases on August 22nd and will be coming to Xbox One, Project Scorpio, PS4 Pro, Windows 10 PC and PS4. The first gameplay reveal will take place on March 8th so stay tuned for more details.
