Monolith Productions’ Middle-Earth: Shadow of War has received continuous support from the developer since its release last year. If you’re still on the fence, even after its microtransactions and in-game cash shop have been shut down, then you can try out its demo today on Steam. Check out the trailer below.

For a free demo, there’s a sizable amount of content to complete. All missions in the Núrn region are available to play with the ability to create an army of Orcs to do your bidding. There’s even a stronghold to assault and an overlord to assassinate. If that sounds like fun, then Shadow of War’s gameplay loop should entice you, especially with the end-game Shadow Wars grind.

Fair warning – the demo is 50 GB to download. If you complete it, then your save will transfer over to the full game should you purchase it. Currently, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is discounted on Steam by 66 percent (the Gold Edition is also discounted by 66 percent). You can also check out GamingBolt’s official review to learn more about the gameplay.
