Duel of Champions receives a fairly hefty update.

Ubisoft’s Might & Magic: Duel of Champions will be receiving a brand new expansion pack titled Heart of Nightmares which adds new heroes, 100 new cards, new puzzles and much more.

There will be a hero for each new faction, making for six new heroes in total. According to producer Samuel Jobin. “Our players are quick to adapt and learn the best way to defeat opponents with the cards in their deck, so we are continuing to give players new hero options to keep the game fresh. Each new hero requires players to learn their strengths and weaknesses, shifting their strategy in order to play or defeat them.”

As for the new base set, Jobin states, “We wanted to make the game easier for new players, helping them move from the tutorial mode to duels with less hesitation.” There will now be the standard format to choose from and Base Set 2, which is an open format that applies to all cards released before and in the same expansion.

Other changes now include solo campaigns having 30 missions, puzzles for reducing an enemy’s health to zero, a new ranking and matchmaking system, a revised game economy and much more.
