Crowd-funding for Comcept USA’s Kickstarter campaign for Mighty No. 9 has finally reached $2.2 million, which means that it will be arriving for PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 ports as part of a stretch goal. Thus far, 38,437 backers have pledged $2,211,145 with 14 days remaining. The next stretch goal is $2.4 million for a Challenge mode with the $3.3 million goal marking the game for release on PS4 and Xbox One.

A new boss has also been revealed: a female robot named No. 3 which uses electricity to fight off Mighty No. 9. Her stage is also full of lightning rods for channeling her power in different ways. Designer Kimo Kimo has revealed that No. 3 is a combination of a Japanese thunder mixed with modern appliances, making her relevant to both eastern and western players.

Mighty No. 9 is expected to release on April 2015 for PC along with Xbox 360, Wii U and PS3. Stay tuned for more updates.
