We see a lot of faces come and go in the gaming industry. Many leave an impression, for better or worse, and some may last a good decade or so, but it’s rare for someone to be at the same company for a long time in the grand scheme of things. But alas, nothing lasts forever, and it seems we’re in quite a time of change, as many familiar faces are leaving their respective companies– and now another is set to leave: Mike Ybarra.

Ybarra made the announcement via his official Twitter, which you can see below. He said he’s on to his next adventure, though he avoided giving any details as to where he’d be going to.

Ybarra has been at Microsoft for nearly twenty years and was serving as the Xbox Corporate Vice President for Gaming. He certainly has had quite the tenure there, if nothing else. Hopefully, he can find similar success and longstanding wherever he ends up next.
