76-Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (1995)
This game was probably the definitive moment in artistic presentation: The developers really allowed their creativityto flow in the game rather than use any modern technology. It took the 2.5D elements of its predecessor and added a heap of 3D graphically animated bosses, a classic art style, beautiful animations and staggeringly beautiful yet simple environments.
