We’ve made no secret of our fascination with the new, interconnected world on offer in Minecraft Dungeons 2, and we’re now happy to tell you that it has a name.
It’s called the Sift, and it’s where all the rifts popping up in the Overworld lead to. It’s got a lot to offer in terms of gameplay, bringing new areas to explore, new battles to take on, and new ways to ensure your party of capable warriors remains your own through extensive customization options. They’re going to come in handy in battles that seemingly encourage liberal use of the newly added jump-attack mechanics.
We would have liked more news about the imposing big bad who’s unlike anything our heroes have seen before, but that villain is still firmly behind the curtains (at least for now). However, we won’t have to wait too long to meet them, as this one’s dropping on September 29 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 with a very attractive $30 price tag, though we wouldn’t be surprised if there’s plenty of DLC planned for post-launch. The Sift is showcased in all its glory below if you can’t wait to get a look for yourself.
