93. A Beautiful Day in Minecraft

It seems that Minecraft might be receiving retail release for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions. Amazon is apparently taking pre-orders of the game with unofficial box arts and art works. However, the release date according to Amazon is December 31st, 2014 which obviously is just a place holder.

It is interesting to note that Amazon is not taking pre-orders for the Xbox One version i.e. Minecraft: Xbox One Edition. All the versions i.e. PlayStation 4, PS Vita and Xbox One and are expected to arrive next month. Regardless of whatever the platform the game comes out on, it is expected to sell a ton.

Consider this as a rumor for now, but Mojang could very well release the retail version this holiday and Microsoft might be saving the pre-order exactly for that. After all, there always seem to be a lot of people who can’t get enough of more Minecraft. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below and stay tuned for more news and updates.
