Minecraft

Cross network play was a bit of a theme at Microsoft’s E3 show today, and nowhere was this more evident than with Minecraft RealmsRealms is a brand new update for the game, which will bring an unprecedented level of cross platform play to the table- it basically makes Minecraft multiplayer cross platform across Windows 10, iOS, Android, and Gear VR- that’s PCs, tablets, mobiles, and virtual reality, all in one fell swoop.

For now, these updates are limited to only these platforms, though Microsoft did hint at them coming to the console versions of Minecraft later this year, too- so basically, we could theoretically have shared worlds in Minecraft that are across iOS, Android, Windows 10, Gear VR, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo- which is the kind of all encompassing cross network multiplayer that no one could ever have thought of just months ago.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information from E3.
