93. A Beautiful Day in Minecraft

Minecraft isn’t the most graphically intensive game out there in terms of textures but it boasts a significant draw distance thanks to its immensely sized world. How will the power of the Xbox One and PS4 benefit the upcoming console editions?

We already know that both version of the game will run at 1080p with the PS4 edition at 60 FPS but lead producer for Minecraft on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One Roger Carpenter says that the latter would be “60FPS, same as its X360 sibling as you’d expect.”

Mojang also revealed on Reddit that if a 3DS port of the game did happen, it “would never have infinite worlds though, AFAIK it could at most get a graphically downscaled version of 0.8.” The Pocket Edition available for iOS and Android does support infinite worlds thought thanks to the upcoming 0.9 update.

Nonetheless, would you like to see a 3DS port of Minecraft? Let us know in the comments.
