It’s easy to forget the amazing run that 4J Studios had with their console port Minecraft. The Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has since sold 10 million copies since first releasing in May on Xbox Live. Think about that – there are probably more Minecraft players on the Xbox 360 alone that next-gen console players overall.

To celebrate this milestone, the developer is offering a sale 50 percent off on all skin and texture packs till December 14th. You can check out the full list of packs and skins over at Major Nelson’s blog, but you won’t find the Mashup packs on discount.

Since debuting on the PC, Mojang’s Minecraft has managed to sell 33 million copies across all platforms its released on, which includes iOS, Android, PC, Xbox 360 and even Raspberry Pi. It’s currently being prepped to arrive on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more details on a definitive release date for the same in the coming months.
