MLB The Show, like any other annual spots franchise, runs on a tight schedule, and new entries in the series are usually announced towards the end of the year before their launch. That schedule has been a bit off this time. We’re well into January now, but MLB The Show 21 is yet to be announced. Well, that announcement is coming soon, it seems.

It’s been confirmed via the game’s official Twitter page that MLB The Show 21 news will be coming next month, in February. An announcement is obviously going to be made, and we can likely learn more details about the game as well. Details should be particularly interesting, since this will be the series’ first entry on new gen hardware.

This is going to be a big year for MLB The Show for another reason. Last year, it was confirmed that Sony had entered into a deal with the MLBPA for extending their MLB license, but that the series would become a multiplatform release starting in 2021, and also coming to Xbox and Nintendo platforms. You can read more on that through here.
