Modder Gets Xbox One Controller Working on PC

So what are you waiting for, Microsoft?

One of Microsoft’s biggest contributions to PC gaming last generation was them allowing the Xbox 360 controller to run on the PC and support PC games; this allowed for standardization for controller inputs in PC games, and it also led to the widespread adoption and acclaim that the 360 controller was met with.

In fact, this generation, Sony seems to have followed suit, providing official support for the DualShock 4 on PC… meanwhile, however, Microsoft with official PC support for the Xbox One controller seem to be missing in action. Now, however, CVG is reporting that a modder has actually gotten the Xbox One controller working there. It actually works incredibly well with full, universal support, but the actual process of setting it up seems to be a bitch.

Still, maybe this is a wake up call to Microsoft to get their act together and just release the PC drivers for the Xbox One controller already…?
