Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Those who were getting all excited about Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered might need to dial it down a notch. Activision cleared up a few rumors earlier this week and the company says people won’t be able to buy the remastered title on its own, at least not for now. Instead, those who want the old reliable game will need to first purchase Infinite Warfares Legacy, Legacy Pro and Digital Deluxe editions.

The information surfaced in a brand new FAQ Activision posted. “Can I play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered without buying Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare?” asks one question. “No, you must own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.”

The remastered version won’t be offered on disc either. Activision has said the only way to get the title will be as a digital download that will be activated when users purchase the right version of the new Infinite Warfare game.
