Monster Hunter Rise

Capcom said before Monster Hunter Rise’s launch that they were expecting the game to sell as well as Monster Hunter Worldand if early sales are any indication, it’s well on track to do so. On top of topping UK charts on debut and shipping 4 million units worldwide at launch, the game has also topped the weekly Japanese physical software sales charts, as compiled by Famitsu. It managed to sell over 1.3 million units within three days, nearly equalling the 1.33 million units Monster Hunter World sold in Japan on debut.

Meanwhile, on the hardware front, the Switch is still the highest selling platform of the week, predictably enough. Its sales have also seen a significant boost thanks to the launch of Monster Hunter Rise. Where the previous week it sold over 89,000 units, this time its sales have nearly tripled, at over 267,000 units sold. The PS5 also managed over 62,000 units sold, well above the oer 34,000 units it managed in the week before.
