Monster Hunter World Looks Pretty Damn Thrilling In This Ancient Forest Gameplay Footage

As always, Monster Hunter looks great.

The next entry in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter World, is due out next year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC- and while we’ve seen a lot of the game already, that won’t stop us from wanting to see even more of the frankly exciting looking new installment of the beloved action RPG franchise.

Today, we got to see 20 minutes of gameplay footage from the game, footage set in the Ancient Forest. The footage is all uncut, has no commentary over it whatsoever, and includes a hunt for an Anjanath- all said and done, this is the kind of footage that should go on to allay any fears that you may have about the title (though to be honest, the voiced tutorials are a bit jarring- but Monster Hunter has long needed some proper tutorializing, so maybe this is for the best).

You can check out the footage for yourself below. Monster Hunter World is launching early next year for PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC release to follow shortly afterwards.
