If you weren’t on board with Monster Hunter World already, I need to ask you to put aside your fanboyism and actually consider the game for what it is- a fantastic looking full next generation realization of the Monster Hunter formula. And if you’re not convinced already, then maybe this new video for the game, with off screen footage captured at SDCC 2017, will be the thing that finally brings you on board.

The footage shows us various weapons in the game, and how they feature in the game’s incredibly fluid combat- Monster Hunter has always had great combat, but it has been slow and deliberate, which has been a barrier to entry for many players. Now, the combat seems fluid and swift, and even long time veterans are likely to be excited with what they see.

You can check out the footage for yourself below. Monster Hunter World is the fifth mainline entry in the series, and is due out on the Xbox One and PS4 early next year, with a PC release following shortly afterwards.
