The Gfk has released its latest charts for weekly physical software sales in the UK (via GamesIndustry), and to no one’s surprise, EA Sports FC 24 has debuted on top of the charts, as reported previously. Though its physical launch sales are 30% lower than what FIFA 23 managed last year, it’s still the second-biggest launch in the UK for 2023, behind only The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It has also seen a slight year-on-year increase on the Switch in terms of physical launch sales.

That means that Mortal Kombat 1, which debuted on top of the charts last week, has dropped down to second place with an 83% drop in sales. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077, which re-entered the top 10 in last week’s charts, has dropped out again, though another fellow CD Projekt RED RPG has re-entered the charts at No. 10 with The Witcher 3, thanks to a 59% increase in sales brought about by retailer promotions.

Another game that’s entered the top 10 due to retailer promotions is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which sits at No. 8 after a 216% boost in sales. Meanwhile, the likes of Hogwarts Legacy, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Grand Theft Auto 5, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Minecraft also occupy places in the charts.

You can check out the full top 10 for the week ending September 30 below.
