Mortal Kombat 1 - Season of the Huntress

NetherRealm Studios has announced that Mortal Kombat 1’s fourth season of Invasions, Season of the Huntress, is live now, and will run until April 16th. A new trailer announces rather blandly that players must battle an army of Ultra Mileenas. Yes, that’s really it, though the cameos from past versions of Mileena in the art are cool. Check it out below.

A new Invasions map is available to explore, and new gear to unlock, from a black hole to hold enemies in place to a squirrel on a Roomba who mirrors your projectile attacks. There are also new skins for Liu Kang, Kenshi, Reiko, Smoke, Mileena, Li Mei, and more. You can also expect some new boss fights, like Cutthroat Constable Li Mei and Monster at Heart Mileena, with plenty of projectile dodging.

Mortal Kombat 1 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Check out our review here. Additional content is on the way to expand the story, according to series co-creator Ed Boon, though more details have yet to be revealed. Stay tuned in the meantime for more updates.
