NetherRealm Studios announced Mortal Kombat 1 yesterday, coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch this year. The Standard Edition costs $69.99, but there are also the Premium and Kollector’s Editions, which include the Kombat Pack with post-launch fighters. Thanks to a listing on Amazon Italy, the roster has seemingly been revealed.

As translated by Reddit user Iron_Witch__, the six playable characters include Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda from previous titles, with Peacemaker (DC Universe), Homelander (The Boys), Omni Man (Invincible) serving as guest characters.

Homelander and Peacemaker were already rumored beforehand, but Conan the Barbarian isn’t mentioned. Five new Kameo Fighters, special assist characters separate from the main roster, are also coming, and include Tremor, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado and Ferra (without Tor, seemingly).

Johnny Cage is also a playable fighter at launch, so it’s interesting to see some overlap. He’ll also get a skin to change his likeness to that of Jean-Claude Van Damme, fulfilling NetherRealm’s prophecy to cast the action star as Cage in the very first game. Stay tuned for an official announcement of the Kombat Pack’s details in the coming days (or when pre-orders go live at 10 AM PT).

Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19th, with Premium and Ultimate Edition owners receiving early access on September 14th. All pre-orders also receive access to the upcoming beta in August.
