Mortal Kombat 1 - Quan Chi

NetherRealm Studios has released the first gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1’s next DLC character – Quan Chi. He’s out on December 14th for Kombat Pack owners and December 21st for all players. Check out some of his moves below.

Hailing from NetherRealm, Quan Chi is a major antagonist in the series, utilizing necromancy. In Mortal Kombat 1, he also uses portals to assail enemies, summoning Cthulhu-esque tentacles to bash and toss them around. His Fatality involves vertically slicing his opponent into thin pieces – brutal but efficient.

Khameleon, the next Kameo Fighter, is also showcased. She utilizes moves from Jade, Kitana and Mileena to set opponents up for combos. Interestingly, she’s available in January 2024 instead of with Quan Chi this month. Finally, the trailer provides a sneak peek at Peacemaker from the DC Universe, who arrives in February 2024. Check out the tentative schedule for other characters here.

Mortal Kombat 1 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch – head here for our review. It’s faced some controversy over its monetization issues – learn more about that here.
