Mortal Kombat 11 Shao Kahn

NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 11 is out next week, and we’ve seen a number of fighters in action till now. All except for one – the Emperor of Outworld, Shao Kahn, who’s a pre-order bonus for the upcoming fighting title. If you’re interested to see what he’s capable of, then the wait will be over on April 22nd.

According to NetherRealm community manager Tyler Lansdown on Twitter, Shao Kahn will be showcased on the next Kombat Kast. It should be interesting to see how the antagonistic figure has evolved since his last major appearance, which was in Mortal Kombat (2011). Other fighters that have been revealed recently include the fan favourite Kitana and newcomer Kollector.

NetherRealm also revealed the game’s microtransactions, which use the currency Time Crystals. These can be earned either in-game or purchased with real money and used to acquire cosmetics. None of the cosmetics seem to be locked behind microtransactions, so it should be interesting to see how this pans out.

Mortal Kombat 11 releases on April 23rd for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
