NetherRealm Studios hasn’t outright confirmed that Mortal Kombat 12 is in development, but there have been more than a few rumors and teases that say otherwise. With how successful Mortal Kombat 11 was, it only seems like a matter of time before players must test their might again. Let’s look at ten things we’d like to see in the sequel.

No More Time Travel

While time travel was one of the main reasons that Mortal Kombat 11’s plot was so interesting, we’d be perfectly comfortable not seeing it again. Maybe it’s because MK9 already relied on it, with Raiden sending visions to his past self and altering everything leading up to Armageddon. But with MK11 straight-up pushing the reset button, it’d be nice to avoid any more time-related shenanigans for a while. As for how you’d address the Liu Kang-sized elephant in the room, that’s a different matter entirely.
