Taven
As the protagonist in Mortal Kombat Armageddon’s Konquest mode, Taven was kind of plain-looking. Nevertheless, due to being the son of Argus, protector of Edenia, and Delia, the future-seeing sorceress, Taven is actually pretty strong. Along with utilizing fire, he can also manipulate space and time. Despite defeating Blaze – a threat that required Shao Kahn teaming with Onaga and other baddies, mind you – Mortal Kombat 9 established Kahn as claiming Blaze’s power for himself with Taven not re-appearing or being mentioned. Truly the ultimate burial.
