NetherRealm Studios’ highly successful Mortal Kombat X recently released on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. However, it was also due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 2nd. It now seems that the previous generation versions have been delayed yet again according to GameStop employees that spoke to Kotaku.

It seems that employees of the retail chain were notified that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game had been delayed into the Fall. This happened on May 22nd and the previous gen release now has a placeholder release for December 31st. As of now, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is yet to confirm this change.

Mortal Kombat X released in March for PS4, Xbox One and PC but previous gen versions were originally due to be out in June. Reasons for the delay were unclear but it’s most likely to allow for more polish. Stay tuned for more information and an official confirmation in the coming days.
