Mortal Kombat X Devs Tease More DLC Coming

Nothing concrete but it appears more characters are on the way.

Mortal Kombat X

On the same day that the Tremor DLC was officially unveiled, Mortal Kombat devs seemed to hint that more DLC would eventually be coming down the pike. NetherRealm Studios hosted an official stream yesterday where it showed off all there is to know about Tremor and at the same time, seemed to hint that more, characters are coming without divulging when or which ones.

Most of the info about upcoming DLC is little more than what we could glean from the live-stream, and reading into comments made during that event. NetherRealm called the Tremor DLC the end of Kombat Pack1. This is the first time we’ve heard of any of the DLC getting a 1 or 2 designation, as it had previously simply been called the Kombat Pack. It would seem likely that there will be new characters coming along with this pack and there are certainly enough that hadn’t been included in any of the current DLC to make it worth it to add even more characters.

As the developers have already shown, it isn’t like the only characters out there to add are ones that have made an appearance in the series before. Before Tremor came along in the most recent DLC drop, Jason Voorhees and Predator got their own Mortal Kombat X characters. It would seem there is an almost limitless stable of characters the devs could bring to the game if they so choose. Of course, the impending arrival of any new content hasn’t been confirmed so we’ll just have to wait and see if more is announced.
