Mortal Kombat X First Reveal Trailer Brings Back the Classics

NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat X has finally been revealed and while the first trailer may be more CG than gameplay, it still contains the essence of everything we love about the franchise. Check it out above.

The trailer shows series’ veterans Sub-Zero and Scorpion battling it out in the only way they know how – by breaking bones, shattering internal organs, piercing heads and just beating the ever-loving shit out of each other. Both characters have been ever so slightly redesigned without looking too different and if the visuals are even somewhat indicative of the actual gameplay, we’re stoked.

Props to Wiz Khalifa’s “Who’s Next” as well. It could have been stupid but comes off well.

Mortal Kombat X is slated to release in 2015 and according to Amazon retail listings, it will be out for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on it? Let us know in the comments below.
